It is a 6 prong setting. 2 of the prongs are closer to each other than the other 4. Again, this ring arrived to me this way. This has never effected the integrity of the stone. I have never had any issue with any loseness. It is in there tightly. I love this ring but, it was just going to go in a box and I’d rather another woman enjoy this beautiful piece of jewelry.
